Segway Recalls Segway Ninebot P100 KickScooters Due to Fall and Injury Hazards
November 2024 - Segway has recalled Ninebot KickScooters. The name of the product is Segway Ninebot P100 KickScooters with model numbers P100S and a manufacture date in 2023. The front fork of the recalled KickScooters can break, posing fall and injury hazards to the rider.

Remedy:
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled KickScooters and contact Segway for a free repair. Segway will direct consumers to a local store for the repair (where available) or provide a pre-paid shipping label to ship the product to a national service center for repair. Segway is contacting all known purchasers directly.

 Affected Models:
The affected units have serial numbers containing the date codes 2308 or greater (e.g., xxxxx2308xxxxx, xxxx2310xxxxx, xxxxx2311xxxxx). The serial number is located on the left side of the KickScooter. The 6th and 7th digits represent the year of manufacture, and the 8th and 9th digits represent the week of manufacture. The product is black and gray with red accents, and the Segway label is on the rear fender. The KickScooter is 46 inches long, 25 inches wide and 50 inches high, and weighs about 72.5 pounds.

Samsung Recalls Slide-In Electric Ranges Due to Fire Hazard
August 2024 - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Samsung Electronics America Inc. has announced a voluntary recall for certain slide-in electric range models with front-mounted knobs. Consumers should contact Samsung Electronics America to request free knob locks or covers depending on the model to prevent accidental activations from occurring. Customers may continue to use their slide-in electric ranges while awaiting their set of free knob locks or covers.

Samsung recommends consumers using the recalled ranges without knob locks or covers are cautioned to keep children and pets away from the knobs, to check the range knobs to ensure they are off before leaving the home or going to bed, and to not leave objects on the range when the range is not in use.

Consumers with Wi-Fi enabled ranges can enable the “Cooktop On” notification on the Samsung SmartThings app to receive alerts on their smartphone when a cooktop burner is turned on.

Remedy:
The remedy for this recall is free knob locks or covers for specific models sold in the U.S. between 2013 and 2024. Consumers should contact Samsung to receive a free set of knob locks or covers compatible with their model of electric slide-in range to install.

Affected Models:
The model number is located on the ranges on the inside upper left corner of the oven door or inside the storage bin located on the bottom of the oven.

July 2024 - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), BISSELL is conducting a voluntary recall of the following products because the product can expel hot water or steam onto users while hearing or during use, posing a hazard of minor burns.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled cleaners and contact BISSELL to receive either a $60 digital credit to be used towards a www.BISSELL.com purchase or a $40 refund.

Electrolux Group Reannounces Recall of Frigidaire and Kenmore Electric Ranges Due to Fire and Burn Hazards
May 2024: Electrolux Group is re-announcing a recall of Frigidaire, Frigidaire Gallery, Frigidaire Professional, and Kenmore Elite smooth-top electric ranges with rotary knobs and digital displays on the rear panel. Originally, these ranges were recalled in August 2009.

To identify affected products, check the model and serial numbers located on the drawer frame at the unit's bottom (accessible when open).

Consumers with impacted ranges should contact Electrolux immediately. Electrolux will advise you if your product will be repaired or replaced. If your range is repairable, Electrolux will schedule a free inspection and repair. Unrepairable ranges qualify for a $50 electronic gift card and reimbursement of up to $60 for the haul-away fee for their recalled range. Customers must submit proof of purchase of a new range and the haul-away fee paid. Electrolux may reimburse haul-away fees over $60 when consumers provide receipts or other documentation showing paid haul-away fees.

Yamaha Corporation of America Recalls Power Adapters Due to Electrical Shock and Electrocution Hazards
March 2024: Yamaha Corporation of America is recalling the Yamaha’s PA-10B AC Power Adapters. A crack can occur between the PA-10B AC Power Adapter’s upper and lower cases. The upper and lower cases can separate completely and expose electrical wiring, posing electrical shock and electrocution hazards to consumers. The affected product can be identified by model number and with codes ranging from 2126 to 2319. Yamaha is printed on the front of the black power adapter. The code is printed on the back. Yamaha’s PA-10B AC Power Adapter was bundled with five Yamaha analog mixing console models – MG10, MG10X CV, MG10XU, MG10XUF, and MG12XUK – and sold as a stand-alone replacement part. Only Yamaha’s PA-10B AC Power Adapter is being recalled.

Consumers should immediately stop using the PA-10B AC Power Adapter and contact Yamaha for a free replacement. Yamaha will provide a free replacement AC Power Adapter to any consumer who purchased a Yamaha mixing console that contained a defective PA-10B AC Power Adapter and/or purchased a defective PA-10B AC Power Adapter as a stand-alone replacement part.

Dynabook Americas Recalls Toshiba Laptop AC Adapters Due to Burn and Fire Hazards
February 2024: Dynabook Americas is recalling the Toshiba Laptop AV Adapters. The laptop AC adapters can overheat and spark, posing burn and fire hazards. The affected AC adapters sold with Toshiba brand personal laptop computers as well as sold separately. They have date codes between April 2008 through December 2012 in either a year month, date format, i.e. April 2008 is 0804, or year week, date format, i.e. week 15 of 2008 is 0815. Customers should contact Bissell to receive a free stick vacuum replacement from Bissel Homecare, Inc. Only Multi Reach™ Cordless Vacuum Models 1985, 19851, 19859, 1985T, 2151, 21512, 21513, 21517, 21518, 21519, 2151A, 2151T, 2151W, 2151V are affected by this voluntary recall. These products are no longer being sold.

Electrolux Group, Frigidaire Range issue with rear control ranges - Updated
February 2024: Electrolux Group has identified an issue with a limited number of Frigidaire rear control ranges. The user interface on these units can become detached, posing a risk of electrical shock and electrocution. Customers should immediately stop using the affected rear-controlled ranges and unplug the unit. Customers should wait for repairs to be made by an authorized professional technician. Contact Electrolux Group for a free in-home repair and professional installation of a new control panel. Do not use the range while waiting for the service call.

November 2023: This recall involves GE-branded JP3030 knob-controlled electric radiant cooktops manufactured from July 2022 through September 2022 with serial numbers beginning with prefixes LT, MT, RT or ST. The recalled cooktops have black or white glass cooktop surfaces and have four radiant burners with four corresponding “Hot Cooktop” lights and four burner control knobs located on the right side of the cooking surface. The model number, UPC code, and serial number of the cooktops are printed on the permanent on-product label located on the bottom of the unit, close to the front left burner location.

Consumers should immediately contact GE Appliances to arrange for free installation of a replacement burner knob assembly. When not in use, turn the unit off at the circuit breaker. Do not leave flammable materials or empty cookware on or near the cooktop. In the affected units, the burner can remain on following use even after being turned to the “off” position. In this case, the “On” indicator light will not be illuminated, but the “Hot Cooktop” light corresponding to the burner will remain illuminated until power to the cooktop is turned off at the breaker switch.

GE Dehumidifiers Recall
August 2023: This recall involves 42 models of dehumidifiers with brand names Kenmore, GE, SoleusAir, Norpole, and Seabreeze, manufactured between January 2011 and February 2014.
The brand name and pint capacity are printed on the dehumidifier's back, front, or side. The model number and date code are printed on a sticker on the unit's back, front, or side. The dehumidifiers are white, beige, gray, or black plastic, measuring between 19 and 24 inches tall, 13 and 15 inches wide, and 9 and 11 inches deep.
Consumers should immediately stop using, unplug the dehumidifiers, and contact Gree for a refund.The dehumidifiers can overheat, smoke, and catch fire, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers.

Bose Recalls Acoustimass®, Lifestyle® and Companion™ Bass Modules Due to Fire Hazard

June 2023: Bose has recalled select bass modules manufactured before April 1, 2006 that were sold with select Acoustimass, Lifestyle and Companion home theater systems.

The components are black or white. The Bose logo, product name, serial number “SER. NO.” and date code are printed on the product label. The product label is located either on the back or bottom of the bass module. The product name is printed at the top of the label next to the Bose logo.

The serial number is described on the label as “SER. NO.” The multi-digit serial number printed on the bass module label includes the “date code” for that module.

The date code is reflected in the eighth through eleventh digits of the serial number.Consumers should immediately stop using and unplug the recalled bass modules and contact Bose to arrange for a free repair of the bass module or a 40% discount on a replacement product.

Sakar International Recalls Multi-Purpose Helmets Due to Risk of Head Injury

January 2023: Sakar International has recalled the multi-purpose helmets due to risk of head injury.

Sakar has advised customers to immediately stop using the recalled helmets and contact Sakar for instructions to return the helmet to Sakar.

Customers will receive a refund in the form of a $30 gift card from Sakar.

LG Electronics Free-Standing 86-Inch Smart Televisions and Stands Recall

January 2023: LG Electronics has recalled selected 86-inch smart TVs in the US due to risk of tip-over.

LG has advised customers using the TV's supporting stand legs to immediately detach the stand and place the television in a safe location away from children. Consumers should contact LG Electronics for instructions on how to inspect the unit and to obtain replacement screws and stand parts. Support includes help from a technician. This is a free repair from LG. Consumers who wall-mounted the TVs do not need to stop using their them. The recalled products were sold from March 2022 through September 2022.

Samsung Top-Load Washers Software Update Instructions for Recall

December 2022: Samsung Electronics America Inc. (SEA), in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission ("CPSC"), has announced a software remedy addressing a recall of certain top-load washer models. These specific models were assembled and sold in the U.S. between June 2021 and December 2022.

This software remedy addresses potential overheating within the control panel of certain models. Such events present a smoking, melting, overheating, or fire hazard to the product and consumer.Samsung is working cooperatively with the CPSC to quickly provide affected consumers with an important software update to remedy this potential smoking, melting, overheating, or fire hazard. Consumers should immediately update their products before using.

Cuisinart Compact Blender & Juice Extractor Combos Recall
December 1, 2022: Electrolux Recalls Frigidaire and Electrolux Refrigerators Due to Choking Hazard from Ice Maker.
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Conair is voluntarily recalling the Cuisinart Compact Blender & Juicer Extractor Combo – Model CBJ-450. The nut holding the blade assembly of the blender can loosen and detach from the base when in use, posing a laceration hazard if a consumer comes in contact with a loose blade.
